Installation

Install ADA Real on WordPress

Download the website-specific client, connect it, and verify the visitor experience.

Updated October 14, 20263 min read

Before installation

Confirm that the correct website has an active subscription, eligible trial, or explicitly included plan. You need permission to manage plugins on that WordPress website, or help from its administrator. Take your normal website backup and choose an appropriate maintenance window if the site has special change-control requirements.

Get the correct client

  1. Open My ADA Home and find the website.
  2. Select Download ADA, or open More actions → Setup help.
  3. Read the website-specific instructions and connection information.
  4. Keep the downloaded ZIP intact; do not upload the entire ADAR platform or another website’s package.

Recognize the client ZIP

The current website-specific download is named ADA-Real-Client.zip; older instructions may show an earlier ADA Bulletproof filename. WordPress identifies that installed package as ADA Real Client. Use the ZIP from your own website row, keep it zipped, and do not upload the ADAR platform or the separate WordPress.org review package.

Install in WordPress

  1. Sign in to the website’s own WordPress administration area.
  2. Open Plugins → Add Plugin, then Upload Plugin.
  3. Choose the ADA Real client ZIP and select Install Now.
  4. Activate the client. If WordPress offers replacement of the existing client, verify it is the intended ADA client before updating.
  5. Follow the ADA client settings and the connection instructions provided for that website.

Check the public result

Open the public website in a fresh tab. Wait for the Accessibility control to finish connecting, then open it. Check reading, navigation, and the visitor features included with the plan. Test a few important pages, including a contact form or shopping journey where relevant. A successful WordPress installation alone does not confirm that every page works as expected.

If you already have an installation

Use the supplied update path or replace the existing client ZIP when instructed. Avoid adding a second plugin or snippet that loads another copy of ADA Real. Multiple copies can cause repeated controls or inconsistent behavior. Clear relevant website or browser caches when checking an update.

Ask for help

Send the public website address, client version, browser/device, and visible message. Include whether the client was newly installed or updated. Share private installation settings only through an approved support channel when requested; never put connection details in public screenshots or AI chat.

1. Sign in to ADA Real
Sign in to ADA Real. Open My ADA Home and find the exact website you want to connect.

2. Check service activation
The website must have a confirmed active subscription, trial, or included plan. A saved signup alone does not unlock the client download.

3. Select Download ADA
In the website row, select Download ADA. On a small screen, scroll the table sideways to reach the Actions column.

4. Keep the downloaded ZIP
Save the client ZIP. It may be named ADA-Bulletproof-Client.zip; WordPress identifies the plugin as ADA Real Client. Do not unzip it.

5. Continue in your website admin
Now open that website’s own WordPress administration area. You will upload the client there, not in the ADA Real dashboard.

Check your connection and visitor experience

Illustrated example screens, not a recording of a customer account. No narration audio.

1. Check Settings > ADA Real
After activation, open Settings, then ADA Real. Look for the connection status. If needed, use Retry connection once and read the resulting message.

2. Open your public website
Open the public website in a fresh tab. Wait for Accessibility to finish loading, then open it. Check that you can use the controls and return to the original page.

3. Review the dashboard connection
Return to My ADA Home and review the website connection. Payment and connection are separate: an active plan can still need installation.

4. Test and ask for help
Test your important pages, forms, documents, and shopping journeys. Report unresolved barriers with the page and visible error. Do not pay again to fix a connection problem.
