Open a supported PDF

Follow a supported same-site PDF link or ask “go to Specials” when that is an actual document link on the website. The ADAR reader retains website navigation where supported and prepares page images and readable content.

Click to read this PDF

A blue Click to read this PDF button appears beneath each prepared PDF page. Its text is collapsed by default, so the document appearance stays close to the original page image. Activate the button with a pointer, Enter, or Space to reveal structured or extracted text and available links.

Hide text and change pages

Select Hide PDF text to collapse it. The PDF page chooser moves between prepared pages. Open original PDF in a new tab is available for the source file. Audio Reader is separate and does not begin speaking simply because you expand text.

Reviewed text and automatic extraction

Document quality varies. Some supplied documents have reviewed structured text; others use automatic extraction and may include image-text processing. Check important details against the source and request an accessible document from the owner if needed.

Reader limits and original mode

The reader prepares supported same-site files within its size/page limits. Protected, external, or complex PDFs may need another viewer. Disable ADA assistance returns this browser to original website behavior. Keep accessible source documents and document review in your website maintenance process.
